Simple Alfredo
Ingredients:
- 8 tbsp butter - cubed
- 3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese - + 1/4 cup for garnish
- 1/2 cup hot pasta water
Directions:
- Add cubed butter to frying pan.
- Sprinkle half of the parmesan over the butter.
- Boil the pasta according to directions, don't forget salt. Do not discard the water from the pasta.
- Transfer cooked pasta into frying pan (tongs work well).
- Add reserved hot pasta water to pan.
- Toss pasta in butter and parmesan over low heat.
- While tossing, sprinkle in remaining cheese.
- Salt and pepper to taste.
- If it's too dry, add more pasta water.
- Continue to toss until well combined and all butter and cheese is melted.
