Beer Bread
Directions:
- Combine all dry ingredients (including any optional herbs), slowly stir in beer.
- Once everything is well combine, form into a ball and stick it in a greased loaf pan.
- Let it rest in a warm place to let it rise a bit, 10-15 min. (This step can be skipped and you’ll still have tasty tasty bread.)
- Bake in pre-heated 375F oven about 45 min. Cool on wire rack for 10 min. Remove from the pan and cool another 10 minutes. Serve warm or room temp.
Notes
I started from the recipe from http://www.farmgirlfare.com/2005/11/beyond-easy-beer-bread.html?m=1 but kept finding that I really hated the baking powder flavor. Swapping out most of it for yeast made a HUGE difference in the flavor department.
